ALKOMED’s Quality Management System, which constitutes an assurance of the ability to provide consistent services that meet customer and applicable regulatory requirements, is subject to continuous review and improvement to ensure conformity and quality. It is governed by comprehensive documentation outlining procedures, instructions. forms and drawings covering all activities that affect the quality and consistency of operational processes, thus ensuring the quality of all work undertaken by ALKOMED.

SAFETY

The provision of a safe working environment for all employees is fundamental to ALKOMED’s operations and to all works undertaken at all project site locations. This is demonstrated by ALKOMED proudly reaching a milestone of 4,000,000 man-hours worked without a lost time accident in 2007.

One of the prime objectives of ALKOMED is to ensure that all employees enjoy a healthy and safe working environment, and hence ALKOMED is committed to a ZERO ACCIDENTS philosophy and operational target.

ALKOMED has issued a policy statement on “Safety and the Working Environment” and has implemented a rigorous safety programme throughout the company, which outlines the infrastructure and mechanisms to ensure safe working practices and a safe and healthy working environment.

Directly reporting to the senior management, full time safety coordinators and safety inspectors ensure that all aspects of the safety programme and its associated procedures are observed and implemented in all projects and undertakings. Training is provided to ensure that all employees understand the importance of safety and accept responsibility in maintaining safety standards.
